Gustav Löbel is the human master of Francis. He's an overweight man whose life had been marked by failures and lost opportunities.
He has a great academic culture about ancient civilization (especially in ancient Egyptian culture and their deities), but his career has found few material benefits and to make ends meet he's applied as writer of low-cost erotic magazine and stories.
Relationship with Francis Edit
The main anchor of salvation of Gustav is the deep love for his pet Francis: Gustav care a lot about the cat and he often went in distress when the cat is missing.
This affection isn't apparently reciprocated because Francis spent time in bantering about the man, stressing all his poor qualities. However Francis is grateful for Gustav about the affection given to him, and it's sometimes implied that the cat cares also for the man.
